Phenomena of feminization can become noticeable in athletes in the form of swelling of the mammary glands (gynecomastia), an increased tendency to fat accumulation and in the form of softened muscles.

The cause of these symptoms is aromatization, i.e. partial steroid convertibility to female sex hormones (estrogens). If the best prohormone on the market 2014 level of estrogen rose quite high, there may be female sexual characteristics. This problem is particularly acute as steroid use is discontinued if the athlete’s androgen level is low amid elevated estrogen levels. It is interesting here that estradiol (estrogen) has an inhibiting effect on the male gonodal regular circle (see chapter: The Importance and Function of Testosterone.) It can be concluded that a high level of estrogen reduces its own testosterone production. The height of the estrogen level and the extent of manifestations of the effects of feminization depend on the dosage and type of steroid taken.

The decisive factor here seems to be genetic predisposition, since some, for example, do not experience gynecomastia at all, while negative effects of prohormones others already at 10 mg of Dianabol per day notice pain and swelling in the mammary glands. The addition of anti-estrogens such as Nolvadex, Proviron or Fuestrin helps in most cases. As you stop taking steroids, gynecomastia, as a rule, slowly retreats by itself. Because many “sit on the needle” year-round, not uncommon – prompt removal of unwanted tissue in the chest. The high level of estrogen is the deadly enemy of any professional athlete, because despite the exceptionally low fat content, it is not possible to become truly strong and elastic. Excessive amount of estrogen has on the athletes and a direct, negative impact on their psyche (see: mental changes).
